These development plans had been in place for more than 10 years and now implementation has begun, starting with a major clean-up of the streets below Casa Cobre. These will be completed in 2022. In 2016 we carried out some renovations to the VanMaaren Style and added details in copper, hence the name Casa Cobre. Many have already been ahead of you and have had a great time. She and her daughter lived in this house for many years. Because she liked the color Lilac, we decorated the house with purple/lilac details.

In 2018 we bought this place in combination with the bigger house next door called 'Casa Madera' from a nice elderly Belgian man who owned the building since the 60's. He completely renovated the houses about 20 years ago in a strong Belgian quality way with a lot of concrete combined with a beautiful wooden ceiling and furniture. Because this house is so small, we thought it might be a good place to use it as a welcome place for our guests in the future hence the name Casa Bienvenida.

We bought this spacious house of 90m2 together with Casa Bienvenida and it is suitable for 4 to 6 people. It is one of the houses that we have rented from 2019 to 2021 to the construction workers who have worked hard on the municipal project for the reconstruction of Calle Alta and Calle Retiro. They rebuilt 11 beautiful homes from the 44 previously largely abandoned homes.

This house was purchased in combination with 'Casa Cobre'. There was already a nice Italian family who rented the house from the previous owner. We offered them to stay in the apartment for 5 years until they found a nice alternative home before starting the project to renovate the neighborhood.

After we bought the house of his sister-in-law (Case Belén), this nice respected man named Miguel offered Bernardus his well-preserved house. He wanted to return to the mainland with his family. Because of the trust we gained after previously buying houses from their family, he handed us the keys to the house and gave us a year to get the financial picture done. He lived for a few decades in Sa Penya with his wife where they raised their children and are now back in the south of Spain. This special place can be found on the corner of the narrow streets of the old town. It is a spacious 2 bedroom apartment with a cave.

We bought this place in 2016 from a Frenchman who worked from home and enjoyed his life in Ibiza. He decided to buy another place in Dalt Villa. Since he was making money from his house, we decided to call it 'Casa Pasta'. Sadly he passed away a year later and never got the chance to enjoy his new place in Dalt Villa.

This house is connected to our Casa Ruinas and Casa Plata. We had good contact with the owner and his father. His father was very good at making special traditional walking sticks. He makes it from strong wood that can only be found in Ibiza. In the end we were able to make a nice deal to buy the property and we were given some very nice walking sticks as a gift.

This beautiful 3 room apartment (max 6 people) located in the city center has a very special story. We bought it from a Dutchman, he won the lottery in the Netherlands and with that money he bought this house in Ibiza. Unfortunately, for personal reasons, he had to rent out his house, leaving him no place to stay. He wanted to sell his house but nobody took him seriously and didn't believe that he actually owned a house. Also, his tenants weren't too happy with visitors in their place and were a little offensive. The owner heard that Van Maaren was buying houses in Sa Penya and came to look for us. Finally he found Bernardus and for the first time he found someone who believed his story. As we weren't focused on buying downtown at the beginning we were a bit hesitant but in the end we were able to close a deal and bought the house in 2017. We have made it our responsibility to help the owner with all the paperwork, he had many arrears and his tenants did not want to leave the apartment. In the end, after some struggle, we were able to provide them with an alternative place for the time being and the previous owner reinvested his money with us through Van Maaren and is still one of our trusted and respected investors. This is a fantastic large house in the middle of Calle Alta. It is very spacious and has a beautiful roof terrace. It consists of 3 apartments. Silvia, an Italian tattoo artist, has enjoyed living in this house for years. At first she was unsure whether to sell her house because she felt so comfortable with her partner, but after some negotiation we came to an agreement. She stays on this island and close by.

This house was rented by Líber and her family. Under Spanish law, tenants always have the first right to buy the house they live in. We were able to make a deal with the tenants, so that they passed on their first rights to us. In this way it was possible for us to become the owner of the house. Líber and her family moved to another place.
